Fairness

This morning I spent some time teaching the students about fairness. I started by showing them a scab I had on my hand and putting a band-aid on it. Then I talked about being fair to everyone, and called up two more students and gave them band-aids the exact same place. (This was to illustrate the point that being fair means giving each student what they need, not treating them exactly the same as every other student.) As I finished putting the band-aid on the second student, I asked, “I’m a great teacher, right? I’m being perfectly fair to each of you and giving you a band-aid!”

One of the students piped up, “Mrs. Morford, you are a great teacher, but I just don’t understand why you would do a thing like that!” Smile

It was cute and brought a smile to my day, so I thought I’d share with you.

Back to School

Welcome to a wonderful new group of students! I realize that some of our parents send their children via bus, and so do not get to see our classroom, so here are a few pictures to help you see where your children are spending their days.
